this is how bad the game industry has gotten
i actually had to steal a game i legally own. years ago i bought a game called virtual villagers. loved it, played it many times. but that was several computers ago, so i decided to download it again on my new machine.
went back to my email recipe list (cause i save everything) found my download link and purchase code and went to download it.
it installed some shitty game launcher i didn't ask for, and now the game is riddled with ads and i couldn't even add my code anywhere to prove i bought the game.
this was my LEGAL download link that i purchased from the company, years ago. it is now an ad farm.....
so i got an illegal copy instead and THAt one works fine-no ads. wtf man. i cant even play a game i legally purchased without being bombarded by bullshit. its just everywhere.
ads ads ads ads. you cant escape them, its the ENTIRE POINT to legally purchasing a game, so you DONT have ads.
