so i was going thru my cc folder last few days, cleaning out bad stuff, doubles, simpacks, etc. and running things thru the rig fix that i missed.
amazingly, my game is running alot more smoothly. but there is a strange side effect. i now have disgusting cc in my game that i dont recognise, and have NO idea how to get rid of it. i dont know where it even came from, i never would have downloaded it.
and i havent downloaded a sim from the exchange in ages. where theh ell are these things coming from? i uploaded a few sims with bad content into custard to find the code to remove them
but they dont match up with ANYTHING in the download folder, or the DCbackup folder.

omg where did this phantom shit come from? and where is it??

its not bad... its better than the last one.. but its so.. bland. no texture whatsoever. its just.. like it was colored with marker.

i think the old one was better now that i see them side to side. this one had a wierd nose thing tho that bugged me. in this light you cant see it, but in every other light the nose has a huge weird shadow and makes the nose look twice as big.

as demonstrated here. YEUK. i think i might just go back to EA skins for now. i dont need cleavage skins anymore anyway, we have breast sliders now.

i tried making some tattoos a while back and they didnt come out right. i kept getting this wierd blue outline around them, so i kinda gave up and stopped making them.
well, i had the idea to do them in a slightly different way and it turned out to work! i will have to more or less completely draw the image again myself freehand, but i will probably improve with practice.

so here is the test tattoo i made.

obviously i doesnt look great. but, it was a sucessful test, as in it didnt get the blue outline crap i used to get. so this means i will be making more!

i had some leftover xmas money so i was looking around online for a way to waste it. i came across an old game i used to love playing, warlords battlecry 3. well, i had played 2, so 3 must be much better! its an old rts game, but it was really cool, and different from the rest in certain ways. alot of rpg elements and you can actualy level up your hero.

well i whip out the bf's credit card and buy it, install it, and get ready for some old school conquering.. and then CTD. D:
so i lower the resolution (as if my computer cant run this 10 year old game bwahaha) and again CTD. so now im getting mad. i could JUST as easily gotten this game off pirate bay, but i chose to PAY for it, and it doesnt even work.
i went looking everywhere for fixes, patches, nothing is helping. and its not compatible with win 7 apparently...

so i write a nie letter to the support team, not really expecting to ever hear from them again. (as per my experience with EA)
today i actualy DID get a reply! not only did the nice man (i assume its a man) give me an alternate download to try, he said if it still didnt work, they would refund my money. welll, sadly it still doesnt work, but THIS is what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

The hacktivist group Anonymous launched its "largest attack ever" Thursday, claiming credit for a coordinated takedown of websites managed by the Department of Justice and organizations supporting controversial antipiracy legislation.
The attack, dubbed “Operation Payback,” came in response to Thursday's news that the Justice Department had shut down massive file-sharing site Megaupload. The attack also temporarily brought down the websites of the Recording Industry of America, the Motion Picture Association of America and Universal Music, among others, in retaliation for their support of antipiracy legislation in Congress, known as SOPA and PIPA.
On Thursday, a spokeswoman for the Justice Department said the web server hosting justice.gov “is currently experiencing a significant increase in activity, resulting in a degradation in service."
“The Department is working to ensure the website is available while we investigate the origins of this activity, which is being treated as a malicious act until we can fully identify the root cause of the disruption,” the spokeswoman said.
Anonymous also took credit Thursday night for taking offline the website of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.gov.
The takedown of Megaupload, and the arrests of its CEO and several execs, sent shockwaves through the online community Thursday. An indictment accused the company, which is one of the world's most popular file-sharing sites, of costing copyright holders at least $500 million in lost revenue.
"The fact is that the vast majority of Mega's Internet traffic is legitimate, and we are here to stay. If the content industry would like to take advantage of our popularity, we are happy to enter into a dialogue. We have some good ideas. Please get in touch," read a statement posted on Megaupload before the site was taken offline, according to the AP.
"The raid on Megaupload Thursday proved that the feds don’t need SOPA or its sister legislation, PIPA, in order to pose a blow to the Web," Anonymous said in a statement posted to its website.
"In a world where govts [sic] just keep on pushing their malicious agendas, we're no longer ready to play nice. We do not forgive!" said a post from one of Anonymous' Twitter handles.
The statement also said that Anonymous was planning another attack - this time on the White House's website, whitehouse.gov. One Anonymous operative, Barrett Brown, told the Russian news service RT on Thursday that more attacks were coming and the group plans to “damage campaign-raising abilities of remaining Democrats who support SOPA.”
The websites of the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry of America, who were both vocal supporters of antipiracy legislation, were both back online by 8 p.m. But the website of Universal Music, which also supported the legislation, was still down Thursday night, with a message: “The Site is under maintenance. Please expect it to be back shortly.” Anonymous also took credit for bringing down the website of Warner Music Group on Thursday.
The antipiracy bills, known as SOPA and PIPA, sparked widespread online protests on Wednesday because of provisions that would make it easier for authorities to go after websites with pirated content. Opponents say the proposals limit free speech, stifle innovation and undermine the architecture of the web. On Wednesday, several major websites, led by Wikipedia, blacked out or blanketed their pages with information about the legislation.
Thursday’s retaliation by Anonymous came in the form of a “denial of service” attack, a digital protest technique used often by Anonymous to bring down websites of organizations it disagrees with by overloading their servers with traffic, causing their sites to crash. The attacks on Thursday had more than 5,600 participants, according to the Russian news service RT.
But not all of them may have been aware of what they were doing. According to Gawker, Anonymous ratcheted up the force of its attack by distributing a link on Twitter and in chat rooms that tricks Internet users into loading a program that attacks websites. Once users click on the link, they download a program, known as a Low Orbit Ion Cannon, that overloads websites with traffic, causing them to crash, Gawker reported.
According to other reports, Anonymous’ attack also included the websites of the US Copyright Office and the site for BMI, or Broadcast Music, Inc., which collects license fees from businesses that use music and distributes them as royalties to songwriters.

so i went in my game today to play and decided to take the ol legacy family out for a spin, as i havent played them ion a while. i look thru the saved game list and they ARENT THERE. i looked thru it again and again and my family is just GONE.
FIFTEEN GENERATION IS GONE!. where the fuck did they go? did i accidently delete thme when i was clearing out save games and backups? wtf? and now i dont even remember the name of the town they were in so i can go into my backup save folder and just get them.......

omg im so pissed!!! 15 mtherfuckin generations gone!!! i have my latest hier on my simpage so maybe i can do something to salvage the family, but hes a teen.

but the family tree will still be gone, and the house and all my unicorns... GRRRR

Elygium is a turd. decade old graphics, interface, and serious lack of character customization. thats a big deal for me. plus, there are 10 thousand asswipes in there clogging up the game so you cant get quests done. and they are all whining "this sucks!". so turn it off and give us room!

last year around this time my snake got very sick. she stopped eating for months and got this crusty looking face and i thought she was going to die. i called a vet and he gave her some vitamins and fluids and she did eventually perk up (300 dollars later) and i thought maybe she was just old and sensitive to the winter cold. It didnt help either that a few days before it started getting really cold, her heat lamp broke, and it took me nearly a week to find another one.

so this year, when cold weather started coming around, and she started to lose her appetite and get crusty face AGAIN i thought all was lost. i can NOT afford 300 dollars a year to keep a snake alive, its cheaper to just get a new snake. I was about to give up on her when i had the idea to move her to the bathroom.

my house is very old, and just about all of the windows are leaky and drafty. i have to cover them with plastic every year, but that doesnt really help tremendously. Since the table where i usualy keep her was near such a window, i figured maybe she is getting a cold draft, and thats why shes getting sick. i keep a small heater in the bathroom so the kids dont freeze while taking baths, so its nice and toasty in there.

for the first month in the bathroom, i was beginning to wonder if maybe it was moot. she still looked like hell, and she still wouldnt eat.
but then, she shed. all that crusty skin schluffed off, and she was shiny and beautiful again :)
i figured i might as well see if shes hungry so i plopped a mouse in there. she devoured it. XD
she was eating again, horray!!!
that was about 3 weeks ago. i think she has eaten 3 times since. her appetite is voracious, and im almost out of mice lol. But its really really good to see her in good health again finaly. I love my Circe <3

has anyone had a gay pet? id be willing to bet yes, most of you either have, or know of one. homosexuality is fairly common in nature. but i was very surprised by what i saw this morning.

i keep mice, as i may have mentioned before. they are primarily snake food, but there are a few set aside as pets (or breeders)

to control the population, i have my males and females separated. While feeding the females this morning, i noticed one of them was mounting another one, and i thought, 'oh no theres a male in there!'

so i go into the tank to grab this 'male' only to discover is a female! now i have seen alot of male on male before, but i dont think ive EVER seen a female do this.

how interesting. i will be observing her to see if she does this kind of thing again. and i wonder what would happen if i put her in with the males?

ever have one of those dreams, the eerily way too realistic, but the subject matter is just twisted?

yeah it was one of those. i would have sworn while dreaming that that shit was real. it even followed a logical timeline, like dreams rarely do. regular dreams your sitting in a treehouse one minute, then shaking hands with abraham lincoln the next, and its all part of the timeline. this one was kinda like a movie, each scene set up the next scene and the theme was consistant.. and disturbing..

i had seen the original broadway version before, but this is the first time i saw Tim Burtons remake.
im not one for musicals as a rule... but i make an exception where Sweeny Todd is concerned lol. one of the best musicals ever written. such power, such emotion, such.. twisted, demented, gore! ahhh what a delight.

i liked Burton's version, it was really amazing to see it come to life. But, i still think Angela Landsbury was the best Mrs Lovette. and (altho i adore Johnny Depp) i dont think Johnny really had Sweeny quite right... he was sorta... Emo Sweeny... Sweeny todd was cynical, malicious, spiteful, and angry. i didnt feel that with Depp. the anger was there, but it was mostly weak.he squeeked out lines where Sweeny Todd is supposed to bellow them.

but overall, i loved it. wow what a ride :D

i miss guild wars, honestly... that game was perfect. each 'world' was a private world just for you and your party members. but the cities were the public areas. so if you wanted to chat or meet new people, hang out in the cities.

In today's edition of Outrageous And Unfounded Insults, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) has decided to question Michelle Obama's body shape.
MediaBistro reports that Sensenbrenner was overheard talking on the phone, retelling an incident in which he said about Michelle Obama:

"She lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself."

The most bothersome issue here is the conflation of two entirely separate matters: the First Lady's (natural) physique and her campaign for healthy eating and physical fitness.
Michelle has traveled the country for her "Let's Move!" campaign for over a year, talking about healthy eating, promoting a more user-friendly pyramid graphic, getting stores like Walmart to stock their shelves with nutritious items and playing sports with kids.
Although she has been called out for indulging in the occasional hamburger and fries, Michelle Obama has practiced what she preaches: she stays fit (those arms are still toned after all these years) and maintains an enviably healthy body, both inside and out.
Yet some conservative critics don't see it that way. Before Representative Sensenbrenner spoke out, Rush Limbaugh was on the case, disparaging Michelle Obama's body as a way to critique her healthy eating campaign. The radio host said in February:

"The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice...I'm trying to say that our First Lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you."

With comments like these, Limbaugh and Sensenbrenner not only blatantly insult the first lady. They also invoke the specious notion that skinny equals healthy, that women with shapely curves can't possibly lead active, mindful lifestyles.
In fact, Michelle Obama and her fabulous physique are an ideal example for women -- and men -- of what an active, balanced, healthy lifestyle looks like. Posterior and all.

i have been noticing somthing that kinda get on my nerves a little.. not really so much 'gets on my nerves' as it just peeves me. i see this commercial all the time for this show about a biker bar, and there is a very attractive girl with a VERY unattractive tatoo.

Mariah Yeater Ex: Justin Bieber Paternity Claim Was A Lie

If you thought you had heard the last about Mariah Yeater -- the woman who claimed Justin Bieber is the father of her child -- think again. Yeater's ex-boyfriend is now speaking out about the ordeal, and says the whole paternity suit was based on a lie.
"She lied," Robert Powell told RumorFix about Yeater, claiming she made a whopping $50,000 from selling her story to a tabloid. "She just picked [Justin Bieber], because she thought he was famous and all and thought she could get a lot of money by telling the magazine Justin was the father. She just saw him as an opportunity to make a lot of money."
In November, Yeater caused quite a media frenzy when she came forward and alleged that she and Bieber had sex in a bathroom after one of his concerts last year, and he is the father of her son. Bieber denied the claims from the start, but agreed to take a paternity test to settle the issue once and for all -- and plans to sue Yeater and her lawyers for creating the story in the first place.
"I know I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim. It's crazy, every night after the show I've gone right from the stage right to my car, so it's crazy some people want to make up such false allegations. so ive come to a little.. standstill of sorts. my latest legacy heir has come of age, and now i need to decide what hidden trait to pursue this generation. his genetics are perfect, and i really dont want to sully my fine lineage with yet another bleh EA NPC, but i guess i hafta.
so my current traits are pyro, rocker, vampire, apprehend burglar, can salute, makes no messes, and burglar.
since asian culture trait was lost from the line a few generations back, i was considering taking him to china to find a nice girl there. but ..well i only found 1 nice looking girl there the LAST time, and it took me 3 generation to get rid of that nose.
i could try for the french culture trait, or egypt, but havent found any desirables there either. :/
then there is his imaginary friend. its a girl, and she kinda has a crush on him. im pretty sure that is he were to hook up with her, there is some kinda imaginary friend traits. (not positive)
and the only one left i believe, is pizza aficionado. which is probably like the rocker trait an does absolutely nothing.

so i dont know which one to shoot for. taking requests, comments, etc lol.

so i am lev 32 or so now. i only had 1 toon in oblivion that even made it that far. the leveling system is a bit easier this time around i think. you level doing things you.. well.. do. performing just about any skill will level you up, and the more you do that action, the more you level THAT skill. its awesome :).
oblivion was similar, but i think they cut away alot of the extra stuff and got it more pure. meh, im bad at explaining things.
anyhooo... my toon got married today :D wee. there is this mercenary guy in the town of Marcath who i like to hire. it costs 500 gold, but hes a good fighter and hes got some amusing commentary. after the Kajiit henchmen i had wouldnt marry me (no option came up for him, im not sure why) i went and talked to the mercenary, and he was interested :D
so now we are married and i can hire him for free, muahaha. and he lives in my house.
i have several. im not sure yet which towns all have houses, but so far i have houses in Whiterun, Riften, Solitude, and Windhelm. Windhelm was hard.

i joined the imperial army pretty early on, so that made almost everyone in windhelm my enemy right out, since that is where the rebellion base is. i wasnt sure if i would EVER be able to get house there.
i did all the quests i could for thw jarl and the townsfolk, but never got the option so i assumed i couldnt get one if im an imperial.
so after completeing the imperial storyline and conquering Windhelm, things in town arent too much different.
BUT, today, at my wedding, was one of the high ranking guys from Windhelm, dont remember his name, somthing Shield. i helped his family investigate the murder of his daughter. well as we were leaving the wedding, he turned to me and told me i could buy property in wildhelm... which i found odd since he isnt the jarl OR the steward of that town.
well i ran over there right away and sure enough i was able to buy property.. and WOW what a house.
Windhelm is kind of a shitty looking town, all beat up and worn out. and the house has a slight flavor of that as well, but i think so far, this is my favorite house. i like it even more than my fancy villa in Solitude.
its got a shit ton of storage space, several weapon racks, mannequins for armor, and an enchanting station. (which i cant afford yet, but the steward had one for sale)
the place is HUGE. it doesnt look it from the outside at all. and the funny thing is, its the house from the murder quest... i had ALREADY been sleeping there for free since i knew it was unoccupied hahaha.
well, now i can furnish it. and all the bloodstains and bones and stuff are still there, so i love the ambiance.
so maybe me and my newlywed mercenary hubby will make that our main residence. too bad Windhelm itself is kinda of a dump.
ive only got 20 levs in smithing to go untill i can craft dragon armor. i cant wait! i been working on smithing since early in the game, and i have been growing in skill slowly but steadily, only using what i find or mine myself.
wont be long now :)

i had seen a few werewolves running around skyrim, and wondered if it was possible.. in oblivion you could be a vampire.. but it was only rumored whether or not you could become a were wolf.
well, it turned out werewolves were NOT possible in oblivion, but they ARE in skryim! ive become one, whoopee!
i think there is somthing terribly funny about a kajiit werewolf lol.
i just hope it doesnt suck. being a vampire kinda sucked. it made your toon really ugly and it was hard as hell to get quests done when everyone feared you.
it DID make you super strong ans awesome tho. so here hoping my new life as a werewolf goes well ^_^

my adventures in skyrim so far

so ive been playing since early friday morning (about 2am) on and off cause my bf plays too and i been trying to sneak in some sims time. i made a kajiit. i have always like the kajiit people.

(this is a kajiit from elder scrolls oblivion)
the graphics are WAY more awesome in skyrim.

my character looks similar to this. (im not playing on pc so i cant get any screenshots of my own)
her name is Kaligraa. since i knew nothing about this new map, or the game mechanics, i decided to go with the main storyline for a bit to help me learn the ropes.
it wasnt a bad plan, as now i can lev 10, own my own house, and have a slave girl.

ive just started finding some nice magical gear, and hooking my toon up with goodies. (and killed a few dragons too) but im stil a LONG way off from being uber. there is plenty in the world running around that can kill my ass quick lol.

the hot slot inventory system is a little different... and not as easy to get used too, imo. im getting the hang of it, but im dying alot in the meantime because i cant get to things in a hurry. i also miss the duplicate items cheat lol. (MAN i loved that)

you can do crafting in this game. take raw items like gold and diamonds, and craft your own necklaces and rings. take raw ore and make ingots, turn ingots into items. turn hide into leather, and leather into gear. its very involved, but not very difficult. its alot of fun.

there is a 'taxi' horse and carriage that can take you to new cities (for a price) and you can of course own a horse too. i love having a horse, so i of course bought one. but its a little wierd riding it. you dont get the first person view like while you are walking around, so its kinda hard to control.

i also kinda miss how you could see your toon in the inventory menu in oblvivion, and see all your weapons and gear. you dont see your toon hardly at all in skyrim, so the awesome looking weaponry and gear is almost a waste. you do have these cool little cut scenes tho when you do a killer move.

well im not going to give any specifics, cause i dont do spoilers, but in case your on the fence about this game, and are wondering if its good, i cant tell you, IT IS AWESEOME. i highly recommend, for any elder scrolls fan, or even just someone who like dungeon crawler rpg type games.

its certainly an adventure you will never forget <3

the right hairmesh i mean, for my simself. its so hard to find one that resembles my real hair. but im extramly picky.. this one is too poofy, that one is too long, this one is too wavy, etc.

well i found one that looks really good in CAS. its not exactly right, but its the closest one ive seen so far.. well doesnt it just figure, i get in in game and it looks like shit.

gaps in the mesh everywhere, huge bald space on the hairline, color is dreadful... man im so dissapointed.
looked GREAT in CAS.. thats like ll false advertising :(

so ive been playing this sim named Lin Mu Bai (well attempting to play her, with all the CTD)

ive grown quite attached to her. for some reason, i dont have many pics of her. wel anyhoo, i made her basicaly just to play with the white unicorn i made in CAS. she was never intended to be a vampire. but the random sim that rolled up in CAS was a vampire, and i said, hey why not, and just went and sculpted her.
of course, if i had been thinking clearly i would have realized that an equestrian and gardening oriented sim was going to be a considerable challenge if she can only come out at night.

sure i can go to the science lab and cure her, but i love her as she is way too much. well anyway, she started with the unicorn, like i said, then she wanted to adopt a horse from the newspaper. so i did.

i got this funny looking mare. she bred with the unicorn and i got 2 funny looking colts. one had a horn, but he had no unicorn powers. so, i end up selling all 3. then i adopt a few more horses and breed them both together. i got some strange mixes that time.

well it was about here i think that the game went syko and started all this CTD bullshit every 10 minutes, (well it might have been a little before then) so its been REALLY tough to continue past here. slowly tho i have made some progress.

Lin is as you may have guessed from her picture, Chinese. and since i dont want monster babies with bad genetics, i wanted to find her a nice looking Chinese mate. took her to china, but didnt find much. best looking guy there was married and completely not interested.

there were a few chinese guys around town who i had made and placed around to be townies, but they were also either married or uninterested.

well, the good thing about being a vampire (well one of the good things) is that you have the advantage of time. while she is still going about her daily thing, the other chinese townsfolk grew old, and had grownup children.
one of whom, was quite attractive, and available.

she met Josef Won at the consignment store one afternoon. (story progression named and dressed him, dont blame me)
but he is the son i would assume, of Christine and Cho Sen Won, who i placed in town 'years' ago. not a bad looking fella.for weeks she has been trying to chat this guy up, invite him over, hang out, but he has been elusive. it took a while to get him into the friend zone.

despite compatible signs, they didnt really 'click' right away once she finaly got him over. well, the FIRST time they did. i got a notice form story progression, that he (josef) had broken up with his girlfriend. that night he invited Lin to a party at his house. she schmoozed him up and they were romantic interests before long. she got her first kiss, and then, BLAMMO CTD.

i also lost this foal out of my mare and unicon

since i hadnt saved the game after his birth that day. so,needless to say, i was a bit annoyed. so after much griping at the universe in general, i fired the game up again. a half hour loading time later...

my foal grows up again, yay! what a looker he is, eh? what an odd assortment of colors and markings. i cant wait to breed him.

and my YinYang foal is born again, to my delight, not only does he have the same markings as before, but NOW hes also a unicorn. hey a crash did something usefull for once. excepting my botched date with josef, grrr.

so she invites him over.. but THIS time he doesnt break up with his girlfriend in story preogression. NOOO. so i have to try to seduce him even tho hes taken.
well, thanx to woohooer mod, it was a success. (eventualy) she got him into the shower, and his girlfriend will be none the wiser. her vampire powers bewitched him, he was puddy in her hands. and now she is carrying his lurve baby teehee

im not sure why i told this little tale, save for that i REALLY love this family and i felt like talking about her.

im excited to see how her baby will turn out! i hope his features are blended well and he doesnt look freeky. ive bad luck mixing asian sims before, but i think i picked a good match this time. im also really excited about my herd. they are having such lovely babies! all the coat varietys, are so neat! well. i gues thats the end :P

without CTD every 10 minutes. i dont get it. when i start up a new town (or old one) and play a family, the first day or 2 goes great, no issues. but, it seems the longer i play any given family, the more CTD i get. i get about 1 generations worth of play. so, the kids would just be about getting to toddlers, and CTD, CTD, CTD. over and over.

its irritating. i have to keep abandoning my favorite familys to go play another one, just to actualy PLAY. maybe ill try my Ovevil family again today. they were CTD on me a few days ago, and i moves to the Goth's, then they did it, and i moved to another house.

so lets see if i can play today without throwing a shoe at my screen

how long have i yearned for a pets ep? not only a pets ep, but HORSES. i have been BEGGING pleading, and wishing for horses in the sims. and now, its finaly a reality! but with one nice little catch. my entire cc collection has essentially become null and void.

i dont download much custom clothing. frankly, i think the quality of most of it is terrible. and with CAST, who needs so many different outfits? i have alot of custom hair, and alot of custom furniture.

o sweet jimmy the furniture. i have LOTS. beds, endtables, counters, dining tables, china cabinets, shelves, the list goes on and on and on. and some of it is donation sets, ie, they costs MONEY. (not that ive actualy paid for them, but its the principle of the thing) i LIKE to have different houses, where not everyone has the same 3 dam dinner tables.

so now i am in a conundrum. so i sacrifice my lovely stuff (my truckloads of stuff), and redo EVERY freekin house i own and somehow live in such a bland and boring everyone-has-the-same-furniture world, or say fuck it to the pets i have loved and begged for for all these years.

how to choose?

im thinking.... i can live without pets a while longer.. ive gone this long. but i LIKE my game the way it is. im not about to destroy everything.

well i had heard a while back that they were planning on replacing charlie with ashton kutcher, and at first i was like wtf? are you nuts? srsly??
charlie IS the show. they should have just canceled it!

so when the new season premiered tonight, i had to watch it just to see what kind or train wreck it was gonna be.
surprisingly, it enjoyed it alot. its was hysterical. never saw a funnier funeral scene in my entire life. and the way they threw the new character in , altho it did seem 'rushed' it is almost plausible.

so maybe i will give this new version of the show a chance. i think it has potential. i will miss charlie. but hey, things change. adapt or die.

This just might be my favorite town. aside from the usual issue i have with towns, EA towns especialy (no space for custom lots, or EP lots) this town has the most perfect ambience and scenery i have ever seen.

this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as beautiful vistas go. i havent explored everywhere yet but omg what a fantastic town.

i didnt make my own sim to check things out, i decided to just grab a local and make the best of it. could be fun. so i found this lonely lady.

thanx to the flooding and disaters in my area, verizon has been over taxed, and alot of the station have gone down or something. massive internet troubles everywhere. i still have internet, but for some reason, my game servers are all down for the east coast.. which is of course the server i play on. so i guess il be taking a little break lol. JOHNSON CITY -- Close to 100 animals died at the PETCO store on Harry L Drive during this week's flood, company officials said Saturday.
Petco's animals, which include hamsters, reptiles, birds and aquatic life, were left in the store during the flood, even though many residents south of Harry L Drive, where the store is located, were evacuated.
Employees discovered the heartbreaking news when they were allowed into the store Friday.
At that point, they were able to save more than 100 animals and transport them to nearby stores.
The number of animals saved and the number that died are rough estimates, company officials said.
"We are heartbroken over this tragedy," Marcie Whichard, vice president of animal care and education for Petco, wrote in a blog entry. "We want to stress that this was not carelessness on our associates' behalf, but a communications lapse from the city to the store in evacuations orders."
Whichard said the flooding was not from the Susquehanna River itself, but from a backup in the sewage/drainage system.
"We are investigating why we did not receive those evacuation orders from the city if this area was known to flood in the past," she wrote. "Had we been aware of potential flooding, we would have removed all of the animals from the store as we do in all other locations."
Johnson City Mayor Dennis Hannon said the flooding was in fact from the river, and the sewage/drainage system likely only played a part. The business should have known about the possibility of flooding since the plaza PETCO is in floods once the river hits flood stage, he said.
"The water moves into that area," he said. "With all the flood warnings and evacuation orders that were issued, for them not to go down there is just absolutely disgusting."
An associate went by to check the store at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday night and there were no signs of flooding or a flood warning in effect, Whichard wrote in her blog. Store employees in Johnson City didn't expect the store to be impacted by the flooding, so the decision was made to keep the animals in the store.
Johnson City Police Chief Joseph T. Zikuski said the flood warnings were issued by the National Weather Service, and people should have taken them seriously.
"The risk was there," Zikuski said. "How could we have told them that (was) what was going to happen?"
On Thursday morning, employees arrived to work and were "shocked at the enormity of the situation," Whichard wrote.
"They immediately tried to enter the building to evacuate the animals but were turned away by the authorities due to concerns for human safety," she wrote. "At the time, the city was focused on rescuing people from their homes by boat and could not divert resources to our store until Friday."
In a subsequent interview Saturday, Whichard said there was a veterinarian on call and on-site at the store during the recovery, but the animals that were saved were not in need of medical care.
Petco will continue to work with Johnson City authorities about the events that occurred, Whichard said.

the rain we have been having, plus the hurricane, plus MORE rain, and our teeny little Susquehanna river simply cannot hold it all. the water has spilled out over the flood walls and the entire region is underwater. some places are really bad. my house is still dry, thank goodness. we came back to the house after a day of being in the red cross shelter. the news said the worst of it was probably over, and since our house wasnt flooded yet, we figured it was safe to come back. so its been a real fun week

so the one and only time i get to do something fun all summer, (and on my birthday, no less) the east coast gets blasted by hurricane irene.. and horray for me, the only thing between me and the angry elements was some flimsy vinyl material.
i must give kudos tho, to the people at Northwest Territories for their quality merchandise.. that tent we got, not only withstood the fiercest of irenes rain, but it held up the entire night, keeping us warm and dry.
at 7am tho, it just couldnt stand up to the pressure anymore, and the support pole snapped.
but, untill the bitch irene decided to kick over my tent, we had a fantabulous weekend!

i just heard from my cousin that my uncle just died. it was pretty sudden. he just got sick and bam. dead.. im still not sure of the details but ...this is going to devastate my mom.. first my brother, then her sister, now her brother. like holy fucking crap. all withing a years time. and my father too, but that really more my pain than hers.. i wasnt very close to my aunt or uncle. in fact i only my met him maybe once or twice. but wtf did we do to attract ol grimmys attention? whos next? maybe my mom... maybe me.. its starting to get a little scary...

My little Jowy. he went to the cat clinic the other day to get neutered, so i have been keeping him in my room at night so he can recover (without the other cat chasing and pouncing on him all night popping his wound open)

Earlier this summer, to Dwight Lewis’s applause in The Tennessean, the FDA imposed gruesome, supersize warning labels for tobacco products beginning in September 2012. That same week, members of Congress, including Rep. Steve Cohen from Memphis, introduced legislation to allow states to legalize and regulate the adult use of marijuana.
If Congress allows Tennessee to tax and regulate its largest cash crop and permit adult Tennesseans to purchase cannabis from legal vendors (or grow their own), what should the labels say compared to tobacco and alcohol?
We know tobacco is the leading cause of death in America, contributing to 400,000 deaths each year. So it’s hardly any wonder the FDA will require the placement of prominent warning labels. Alcohol is the third-leading cause of death in America. The World Health Organization reported earlier this year that “alcohol causes nearly 4 percent of deaths worldwide, more than AIDS, tuberculosis or violence.” The authors added: “Alcohol is a causal factor in 60 types of diseases and injuries. … Alcohol consumption has been linked to cirrhosis of the liver, epilepsy, poisonings, traffic accidents, violence, and several types of cancer, including cancers of the colorectum, breast, larynx and liver.” Yet, warning labels on alcohol are inconspicuous at best and mention only two risks: birth defects and driving.
What about marijuana? With every other drug from Advil and alcohol to Zantac, a correct dose is effective, but too high a dose kills the patient. No dose of marijuana is capable of causing a fatal overdose, so we know the number of deaths directly attributable to marijuana will remain at zero.
And unlike alcohol and tobacco, adverse effects of even heavy cannabis use are minimal. There is no epidemiological evidence in any country, after scores of studies and centuries of use by tens of millions of people, that marijuana smokers have a shorter life expectancy than non-smokers.
They don’t become violent at sports events or beat their spouses and children. They don’t get heart disease, cancer, brain damage or any other deadly illness at a higher rate than those who abstain. In fact, a pair of studies conducted by Kaiser Permanente found that marijuana use, even long-term, was not associated with elevated levels of mortality or incidences of cancer, including types of cancers associated with tobacco smoking.
Marijuana, of course, carries risks. A few users will become dependent. And marijuana intoxication also affects driving. But while alcohol is a sedative that makes drivers more reckless and aggressive, marijuana heightens awareness, causing drivers to be more cautious. A few people trying pot for the first time may temporarily have a panic reaction.
These risks are far less than those from tobacco and alcohol. Most Americans do not believe they justify another 23 million arrests and hundreds of billions of dollars in law enforcement expenditures. This is why the bill to remove the federal prohibition of cannabis was introduced.
America is on a path to allow adults to choose a safer alternative to tobacco and alcohol. And create more tax revenue and more jobs in Tennessee. And more freedom.
